Aptitude tests are intended to identify and evaluate intrinsic abilities and talents of an individual. Once the talents and abilities of an individual are correctly identified using an Aptitude Test, correct education then enhances their abilities which results in the excellence of performance through application in the real world. When a person studies subjects that match his natural area of interest, which have been identified using an appropriate Aptitude Test, it is easier from him to build his strengths in that discipline, leading to greater job satisfaction and a sense of fulfillment and joy in future work. Aptitude tests, thus, make it easier for a person to match his/her abilities or area of interest to the subjects that individual wishes to study. Still, a note of caution is that Aptitude Tests should be used as broad direction and not as a binding route. Expert analysis of Aptitude Test results combined with informed career counseling leads to optimal utilization of educational opportunities so that a student can enhance strengths, overcome weaknesses to grow towards his career destination.
Aptitude tests provide a profile of strengths and weaknesses on several parameters of skills like verbal, numerical, spatial, mechanical, interpersonal, creative, art & design, etc. They assess differences in each parameter, tracking a person’s innate ability grading it from excellence, high, above average to below average, or weak. They give indicators of potential areas of growth. Some aspects of intellectual aptitude may be more easily trained than others.
Dr. Pratibha Jain and her team conduct aptitude tests for different age groups, analyzes, interpret the results. They provide comprehensive advice on subject selection based on potential career options after carefully weighing several factors of the child’s personality, performance, aptitude, background and personal vision to provide career guidance for short term and long term academic planning. We use aptitude tests to help parents develop realistic expectations for their child’s school performance and to help students understand their own strengths and weaknesses through aptitude tests questions and answers for their reference.
